pagan folk - Sarsen Spirals

about

Ancestors, being connected to the land via the ancestors and the fact so much of humanity is no longer connected to either the land or the ancestors and how all is right bloody knackered as a result.

lyrics

May the pale lady crave blame upon the name,
As silence lies upon the wing and all you'll never know,

Shadows of an evetide rise ghostly of a time,
Tendrils of the mist weave spirals, carved upon the stone,
In glitter crystal on the web in amber ruby lit,
They walk the tracks carved bright in white,
Some meaning for to seek.

Alone amidst the circle I stand grieving for the loss,
Of all that mattered to a kin, of feathers on a breath.
Each mottled hue, the lark in lay, the circles in her name,

And as we walk above the scarp, arms raised against the dark,
Tendrils of the mist weave spirals, carved upon the stone,
In gold they weave about our feet into the valleys sink,
The grey in day takes to the chalk,
Our voices of the land.

How may one day the world awake (to crave again the truth?)
How may once more the works arise (all for to gain the right)
How may one day the world arise (to claim the truth and right?)

Of all that hides about the mist, lain grey among the turf,
The sheep cropped downs, the chalk hill blue, the skies alightening,
Alone amidst the circle i stand grieving for the loss,
Of all that mattered to our kin, of sickles in a hand.
Each mottled hue, the lark in lay, the circles in her name,

And as we walk above the scarp, arms raised against the dark,
The ghosts arrive, on satire ride and vow to feed the fight,
In glitter crystal on the web in amber ruby lit,
The grey in day takes to the chalk our voices of the land,

How may one day the world awake oh for to claim the truth?
How may one day the world arise, oh for to claim the right?
How can one day the world one day to halt each quiet loss,
How can one day the world awake oh for the claim the truth and right?

We look around, the fields are empty, who is left to fight?
