Whispers in the Boughs

by Fay Brotherhood

1.
Hear lord and lady, Hear lord and lady, Whispers in the boughs, Hear lord and lady, Hear lord and lady, Whispers in the boughs, As twilight falls, In wonderment we fall. Hear goddess sighing, In winters silence, Whispers in the boughs, Whispers in the boughs, Pale moon does rise forth As sun dies on the breeze, Whispers in the boughs, Clear cool night takes the day, The sunset soon shall fade, Winter the God does die, To be born anew in spring, Now Goddess takes the throne, See the beauty of the cold time, The sunsets bright fire. Hear lord and lady, Hear lord and lady, Whispers in the boughs, The wood does grow now dark, The lone crow flies on home. Beauty unforeseen, In the clear cold evening light, Hear the songbirds hail the nights, As the winter fox flies by as fire. Now the equinox draws near, From here on the sun god's born anew.

Gypsy 03:43
Diamond nights claim velvet skies, And contemplate the miles, Set between the bench and there, We'd live to dream of our illusion, Crystal decorates these tables, And lo the glass is shattered, What the hell did you expect With hooves a turning cloth, Must be some place left to sleep, Away the memory now, One wish now to disconnect, From the memory now, Rests on you to stand alone, And wear the magpie wisely, As the goat he gores your throat, And the ram climbs ever lower, Something the air I scent, It harkens back to here, All they lent to you was hurt, Please fly and find your bonny white night, When will someone hear the cry of the nightjar in his sights? As the quarry hungers more, the stakes turn to the sand, When will anyone hear her? When will anyone hear her? Bear the bane and bear this name laid on the butchers slate, Pocket now this sweet disciple and sharpen now the knife, Don't speak out and don't ask why, The winds are bound to change, Silence is your first language, I see the feathers fall.

Winter 05:13
Winter rolls by, Wind blows cold, King of crystal sinking further, In the snow, Dreams live on, Sing your song, Dace with ice men in the snow, Silence submerged, Free your mind, Break the ice. Dance your dance, Hand in hand, Ice man whispers crystal cobwebs, Time for sleep, Winters branches shelter them Asleep beneath the snow, Whisper crystal to the wind, The ice men soon will sleep. (repeat from start)

The Sea 03:55
Foam to the bit they cry, Pebble crash their hooves to sand, Silent, drift upon the rock, For where I am forced to flee. Give to me my fond memories, Fade to black my sorry misdeeds, A lonely beach somewhere I'll be found, So listen for the waves that echo me. Far beyond the blue I want to be, Upon the rock, upon the sand let me forget about today, I will find freedom in your depths my mind will sink into the haze, Let me ride upon your waves take me from this place, To peace. Gulls cry, waves sigh, free. I take my leap, Icy waters claw at me, As I sink beneath the waters, I wonder what they'd say to this? My God I've tried so many times, To find the truth within the lies, Oh what right had to judge What you don't know.
5.
Spring Tides 04:48
Glowing stardust orb, Waning with your song, Ebbing with the tide, Far atop your wave, This year comes anew Fighting to chase time, Drown in the high tide, Bought with springtime nights, Fly forth silver rider, On ghostly steed of fire, Wolf cries his song to you, Atop his rocky homeland, Landmark of your reason, Send your message distant, Mountain of unreason,

Tides of generations past, Out to sea out far we cast. Emerald seas green call to thee, Dark nights depths of oceans free. Ride the waves crestfallen lee, To the fickle call of creed, Silvered by the waning moon, Coyly beckoning the tide roars. So softly softly will go with the wren, Over and under worries of men, And the gulls will scream for the sea, Lamenting all you'll never more be, Hold the hare in sweet esteem, From from cruel misanthropy, Oh for to forget the blue, How far must the runner run from view? Ships are cast from older lands, Casting doubt upon my stance, But there's no guarantee of replay, Of the past so open wide, For softly I will go with the wren Over and under worries of men, And the gulls still scream for the sea, Lamenting all you'll never more see Softly trod I'll go with the gun, Where the rocks make gold of the sun, Oh to piece this puzzle today, Tell me where I find thee tonight Ship alights these silver sands, Silken spun by silent hands, Softly sung a quest of the wren Why go so far for to forget? In part it was of will for more, Still souls of steel bade cold farewells, Child if through this you would grow, Forget who you are, Go back to start

Perception 03:16
As the bright sunset fades, Burns out on the fair day, Terror rises its sword to the darkening sky, Thunder roars in the night, Hear the call of the wolf, See the eye of the blind, Hear I stand in the shade of the fairest green wood, Hear the shadow men call, The day grows dark, I stand alone, I hide in dark as the creature walks, He lifts his head to blackened sun, And calls. Watch the hordes as they run, Through the blackness of hate, Demons fly, watch me fly in the fear of the fire, I'm alone in the night. Hear the thunder in the night, As alone I face the fight, Where are friends when you need them? Need them I call to the God's above, On my heels strike me down. You need no sword or spear, As they call on your fear, Through this dream you have proven your soul to be strong, Yes your soul it is strong, Fight them now with thy word, See them for what they are, They can't hurt you for you have the will for to win, Perception is our gift, For the new day I'l stand with a new sense of pride, Let them come if they wish.

Spirit 03:29
In hollybush a song thrush sings in the pale mist of the dawn light, In the hazel the roe buck scores the bole to greet the rut, When night falls a barn own flies - a ghost beneath the moon, Vixen cries out in the dark, spring seeding 'neath an earth. And I'm the spirit of the wood, The bringer of the springtime green, I shall sing on ever more, The woods grow wild with me, And never can I die, I whisper on the summer breeze, Hear me I will never die, My blood shall grow on green, Follow me into the glade and join me in the circle, Here within the chestnut trees in Beltane's praise we'll sing, And I'm the spirit of the wood, The bringer of the springtime green, I shall sing on ever more, The woods grow wild with me, Time is gone and summer past, The leaves of autumn glow in gold, With October comes the winds, To lead them with the fieldfare, Winter comes and snow will fall, The trees now clothed within the ice, I will rest within these months, I'll greet you next in spring. And never can I die, I whisper on the summer breeze, Hear me I will never die, My blood shall grow on green,

Soda Lake 01:38
There upon a desert lake, I'll rise above a sun scorched haze, In silence high a condor flies, The wind she dances on the plain.
